Subscribing to every major streaming service in the US at the same time costs $149.39 a month if you always pick the cheapest plan, or $199.89 a month on standard plans. Over a year, that's $1,792.68 to $2,398.68. Below is the full table, service by service, with prices checked in October 2026.

How much each streaming service costs in 2026: the full table

We added up the 11 subscription video services most people in the US consider, from movies and series to anime and sports. For each one there are two columns:

  • Cheapest plan: the lowest monthly price open to anyone (student plans, which require proof of enrollment, are left out).
  • Standard plan: the mid-tier plan, usually the first one without ads. When a service has a single plan, both columns match.

What about Disney+? It isn't in the totals. Its US plans weren't part of our October 2026 price check, and we'd rather leave it out than guess. Add its current price to the totals if you subscribe.

You can also find each service's plans on its own page, like Netflix prices and Hulu prices.

Without sports, the total drops

DAZN is a niche subscription for sports fans, and at $34.99/mo it's the most expensive line in the table ($419.88 a year). Without it, the other 10 movie, series, anime and video services cost:

  • $114.40/mo ($1,372.80/yr) on the cheapest plans;
  • $164.90/mo ($1,978.80/yr) on standard plans.

How much you save with ad-supported plans

The gap between the two columns is $50.50 a month, or $606.00 a year. All of it comes from ad-supported and entry-level tiers, one of the simplest ways to pay less without dropping a service:

ServiceCheapest → standardDifference per monthDifference per year
NetflixWith ads → Standard$11.00$132.00
Peacock*Select → Premium Plus$11.00$132.00
Hulu*With ads → No ads$9.00$108.00
HBO MaxBasic with Ads → Standard$7.50$90.00
YouTube PremiumLite → Individual$7.00$84.00
Paramount+Essential → Premium$5.00$60.00

Before you downgrade, remember that cheaper plans often come with limits beyond ads, such as fewer simultaneous streams, lower resolution or fewer downloads. Check what changes on your service first.

Amazon Prime already shows ads on Prime Video. You can pay extra to remove them, and that add-on isn't included in the table above.

Watch out for app store pricing

Where you subscribe changes the price too. YouTube Premium Individual costs $15.99/mo when you sign up directly, but $20.99/mo through the App Store: $5.00 more per month, or $60.00 a year. On the Family plan the gap is $8.00 a month ($26.99 versus $34.99). Before subscribing from your phone, check whether the service's website charges less for the same plan.

Annual plans: where they exist and how much they save

Six of the services in the table have annual plans in our catalog. In every case, paying for the year upfront costs less than 12 monthly payments:

Service12 months on monthlyAnnual planWorks out toYearly savings
HBO Max Basic with Ads$131.88$109.99$9.17/mo$21.89
HBO Max Standard$221.88$184.99$15.42/mo$36.89
Amazon Prime$179.88$139.00$11.58/mo$40.88
Peacock Select*$107.88$89.99$7.50/mo$17.89
Peacock Premium Plus*$239.88$199.99$16.67/mo$39.89
YouTube Premium Individual$191.88$159.99$13.33/mo$31.89
MUBI$179.88$119.88$9.99/mo$60.00
DAZN*$419.88$249.99$20.83/mo$169.89

If you subscribed to all 11 services and always took the cheapest option (the annual plan where it exists and costs less, the cheapest monthly plan everywhere else), the yearly total would drop from $1,792.68 to $1,482.13, a saving of $310.55.

The catch: an annual plan locks you into a service for 12 months, and the money leaves your account all at once. It only pays off for what you genuinely use all year. For everything else, the flexibility of monthly billing is usually worth more.

Why almost nobody needs all of them

Few people actually watch 11 services at once. In practice, many subscriptions sit idle for weeks, waiting for the next season of a show or the next movie you want to see.

That's where the waste hides. A $14.99 subscription you open twice a year costs $179.88 for those two weekends. Adding everything up, as we did here, is the first step to seeing it. To run the numbers on your own subscriptions, the Subfaro calculator shows your monthly and yearly total in seconds.

How to decide which streaming services to keep

A simple way to cut without regret:

  1. List what you pay today. Include charges on your card statement and anything billed through the App Store or Google Play. It's easy to forget one.
  2. Mark what you used in the last 30 days. If you haven't opened the app in a month, it's a candidate for cancellation.
  3. Split "always on" from "seasonal." Always on is what your household watches every week (sometimes that's just one service). Seasonal is what you subscribe to for one show, one sports season or one release.
  4. For the always-on ones, consider the annual plan or the ad-supported tier if the savings are worth it.
  5. For the seasonal ones, rotate: subscribe to one at a time, binge, and cancel before the next charge. Our streaming rotation guide walks through it step by step.
  6. Cancel through the official route. The option usually lives under account or settings → plan or membership → cancel. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you cancel in the store itself. For Netflix, for example, the link is netflix.com/cancelplan.

With most services you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, so you can cancel right after subscribing and still use the whole month.

How Subfaro helps

Subfaro is a subscription tracker. You pick the service and the plan, and the price fills in on its own, with prices checked weekly for about 30 services. If Netflix or HBO Max raises its price, you get an automatic alert.

It also alerts you before every charge and before free trials end, which helps you cancel at the right time. And when you have three or more video streaming services active, it shows how much you'd save by rotating them. It never asks for your bank password or connects to your bank.

The free plan has no time limit and covers up to 10 subscriptions, enough to track all your streaming services. If you'd like to try it, create a free account or see Subfaro's plans.
